Yogasfera
Welcome to Yogasfera, a new page on internet that brings together information about the world of yoga: centres, studies, courses, teachers, training, special events, in fact anything that happens in the world of yoga that we can share together:
consult activities.
• If you own/run one or various yoga centres, or are a freelance teacher, Yogasfera provides a space where you can make yourself known and can share your activities with all those interested in the world of yoga in an easy and simple way.
• If you practise yoga, Yogasfera will encourage you to consult us regularly so that you keep yourself up to date and to participate in all that is happening in the world of yoga.
• And if you do not practise yoga, then Yogasfera will encourage you to do so! You will certainly find a centre or activities that will invite you to begin. And very soon you will realise the benefits that yoga can bring you.
Yogasfera was created in Barcelona with the desire to grow and bring “yogis” together everywhere! Yogasfera also incorporates a small on-line shop where you can find a carefully selected range of goods to practise yoga, natural and environmentally friendly products that are difficult to find in Europe. All our products are sold with our full commitment to social welfare and to preserving the environment.
From the very beginning of the history of mankind, Yoga has traced a long route from the orient to the western world. The traditional bond between the teacher and his pupil has opened to an ever-growing number of disciples. As a result, today we have many different types of Yoga, but all have sprung from the same beginning. Often the varieties of yoga that we now enjoy are named after the teachers who developed a particular style.
Today we hear about yoga everywhere, but often very need to explain exactly what we do when we practise yoga. Is it Kundalini, or perhaps Hatha? Are we practitioners of Sivananda, or Jivamukti, or Asthanga, or Iyengar, or Viniyoga, or Anusara, or Dhama, or even Vinyasa Flow. Or perhaps we prefer Yoga nidra, yet another form that sits in a large list of varieties? But without any doubt, it does not matter which style of Yoga we choose, practising it always makes us happier, more alert, healthier, and even more loving.
Whatever type of Yoga you do, yoga gives you the sensation of intimacy and togetherness at the same time. We all travel in this immense world of yoga, and we will learn a lot if we share our path with practitioners of other styles and experiences. Sharing will give us new tools with which to practise our own form of yoga, and with these we will enjoy ourselves even more!
We only have to glance around us and we will find many places where yoga is practiced regularly; where there are workshops, courses and specialised classes. Perhaps well-known teachers with great experience are in-town, teachers who could inspire and motivate us, and yet we never to get to hear that they are close by.
Yogasfera is an open window to all activities related to yoga, a window that allows all practitioners to share and enjoy our world to the maximum.
ORIGENS OF YOGASFERA AND TEAM
Yogasfera was created from an idea by Victor Domènech, a yoga fan and webmaster, who found that internet was missing a site which brought together details of yoga facilities and activities. Mariona Costa y Joan Manel Gimeno, yoga teachers from Barcelona, have helped him, and all together they have promoted and encouraged this project.
